Job Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional
caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for
assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients.
The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology,
therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination
of care with other health team members.McKay Dee Hospital is a
Level 2 Trauma Center. Our OR is staffed 24 hours a day/7 days a
week. We have 16 working ORs, we run 10-12 ORs daily. McKay OR
averages around 40 cases a day. We do all specialtiesGeneral,
Urology, GYN, Robotics, CV, Vascular, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma,
Neuro, Dental, Plastics, ENT, and Globe Trauma. We do not do
transplants here, however, we do assist the Organ Donor Team with
organ procurements. We have a staff of just over 100 people,
consisting of RNs, ORTs, Data Coordinators, Anesthesia Techs, and
Orderlies. We have a great team!!We offer 8, 10, and 12 hour
shifts. We are looking for staff to help cover the 12 hour shifts
at this time. All staff are expected to take call and work their
share of off shifts. Call and off shift requirements can fluctuate
depending on open positions and staff on leave. An off shift is any
11a-11p, 3p-11p, 9a-9p,graveyard shift, or weekend shift. Staff are
able to sign up for call and off shifts that work for them. We
staff to have our scheduled, elective cases done by 7pm and after
that we do urgent/emergent cases. Graveyards, weekends, and
holidays are minimal staffing.Minimum QualificationsCurrent RN
License in state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS)Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in
writing.Basic computer skills. RNs with less than 12 months of
working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must
obtain their BSN degree within five years of their start
date.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree

Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information,
labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment
and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care
providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally
communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information,
alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly
during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and
fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision
and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for
documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication
preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of
movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift,
and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of
varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to
walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining
and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes
pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy
items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of
equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to
stand in a stationary position for an extended period of
