Under the direction of the manager this position is responsible for processing commercial and business loans. This includes but is not limited to new loan originations, loan modifications, loan subsequent actions, and annual loan reviews. It receives, reviews and processes commercial and business loan information and documents. It maintains loan application files and other duties related to the processing and servicing of the commercial loan portfolio. It ensures that members, prospective members and employees are promptly and professionally served. The position performs other duties as assigned.

1.Effectively receiving, reviewing and processing Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial and Industrial (C) loan applications and all related documents.a.Creates and maintains assigned loan files to ensure accurate documentation/information is being obtained in order to proceed with request and closings. b.Input and maintain files in commercial department shared drive, TREX, CASH and LaserPro as applicable. c.Responsibilities and procedures, inclusive of title insurance (exceptions, endorsements, etc.)d.Complete initial audit of loan file and coordinate transfer to loan administration servicing function for final audit review.e.Maintain a strong working knowledge of internal commercial loan policy.f.Understands and recognizes when exceptions to bank policy and procedures are present.g.Engages any 3rd party vendors and orders all UCC searches, appraisals, flood determinations, title commitments, OFAC, credit reports etc. as required.h.Reviews and approves all title commitments, surveys, insurance, UCC searches for lien position and any other third-party documents as needed.i.Prepares Closing Checklist on each loan and updates the checklist as needed.j.Prepares Construction Checklist for each loan, if required, and updates the checklist as needed.k.Tracks and updates loan application status from origination to funding. Ensures department personnel is informed of pipeline status. This includes but is not limited to missing documents, incomplete documentation, process issues, procedure issues, communication issues, training issues, training needs, service issues, service needs, ticklers updates, loan covenants ticklers, etc.l.Creates loan file which will contain all documentation.m.Informs management of all problems and concerns in a timely and effective manner.2.Coordinating closings on Business Loans, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial and Industrial (C), and Commercial Acquisition and Development (A) loan applications.a.Interacts with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, lenders and their assistants, etc. to provide exceptional member service.b.Reviews and approves all required documentation received, i.e. purchase agreements, corporate documents, lease agreements, SNDAs, Estoppels, landlord subordinations, construction documentation, vehicle titles, etc. as required for the loan.c.Reviews closing documents before releasing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.d.Schedules and coordinates loan closings.e.Ensures all loans are closed and funded according to the approved loan request, credit union policy, and regulatory guidelines.f.Coordinates with the commercial loan servicing department for the loan funding and booking.g.Finalizes loan file for post close audit.h.Follows up on any outstanding ticklers and/or exceptions as needed.i.Responsible for updating procedures of job duties as it pertains to related position.j.Facilitates account opening by gathering borrower info, submitting required info to BAS, and following up on account opening.k.Is available as needed to cross train and perform additional tasks as assigned.l.Adheres to the BSA Policy, internal commercial and business loan policy, and all other Bank Policies.m.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.3.Maintaining the loan portfolio, loan modification, and annual review processinga.Updates and maintains commercial loan files and collateral-related items on the internal shared drive, TREX, and CASH Suite as necessary.b.Assists with resolving exception list and/or missing items listc.Assists analyst with annual reviews by organizing updated financials, assisting with tickler items in CASH and FICS, and spreading when necessary. d.Assists loan officer with modification requests by ensuring memo is compliant with internal commercial and business policy, proper documentation and approvals are in shared drive file, TREX, and CASH Suite.e.Creates processing documents. This includes but is not limited to default letters, reservation of rights letters, extension of tickler items, etc. and ensuring documents are saved in the appropriate places (Shared drive, TREX, and CASH Suite).f.Obtains property tax records, credit reports, entity verification and other items as requestedg.Responds to information requests. Researches archive and provides all requested information in a timely manner.h.Tracks and updates loan review status from initiation to conclusion within Work Flow. Ensures credit union personnel is informed of pipeline status.i.Tracks and updates loan modification status from initiation to conclusion. Ensures credit union personnel is informed of pipeline statusj.Accountable to review and respond to corrections and document rejects in a timely manner. k.Informs management of all problems and concerns in a timely and effective manner.4.Coordinating business account creation, loan closings, and loan documentation. a.Communicates effectively with 3rd party vendors, business member borrowers, commercial loan officers, business account services, and other credit union personnel.b.Facilitates the creation of new account relationships with new business members.c.Prepares business loan documents using LaserPro software.d.Ensures documents are ready for scheduled closings. This includes but is not limited to document accuracy by comparing approved credit presentation, closing instruction accuracy, other processing signatures to be provided at closing, etc.e.Ensures that lending operations are conducted in accordance with established credit union policies and are legally compliant.f.Stays informed regarding compliance, process, and regulatory changes.5.Effective performance of assigned clerical functionsa.Provides receptionist coverage as assignedb.Completes weekly department ordering functions as assignedc.Prepares reports and records promptly and accurately as assignedd.Takes notes and prepares minutes for credit committee and other meetings as assigned6.Establishing and maintaining effective professional business relationshipsa.Communicates effectivelyb.Addresses all requests promptly, courteously and professionallyc.Answers incoming calls, assists members, and directs calls to other credit union personnel when necessary. d.Ensures that members needs are promptly and courteously resolved.e.Ensures that the credit unions quality and professional reputation are projected and maintained.7.Establishing and maintaining effective working relations with Credit Union personnel and managementa.Coordinates with other departments and communicates effectively commercial lending needsb.Supports training assignments and functions as assignedc.Attends and participates in meetings as requiredd.Communicates all concerns and problems to management timely and effectively8.Other related duties as required or assigned.a.Assists and supports credit union personnel as neededb.Ensures proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of work area, including appropriately securing private or confidential information.c.Stays informed regarding local and national economic conditions.d.Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.

Training/Education/Certification:High school graduate or equivalentCoursework in general office skillsRequired Knowledge:Thorough knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.Knowledge of related computer applications required for the development of credit union business. Understanding of business services and commercial lending functions.Understanding of training and development processes.Understanding of credit worthiness.Understanding of related legal requirements, regulatory standards, and necessary loan documentation.Understanding of interest rates and how they are computed.Understanding of member development techniques.Understanding of MS Office software applications.Preferred Knowledge:Bachelors degree in a busines fieldKnowledge of related computer applications including but not limited to: oInbranch, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Experian, AFR, Collateral 360, Docusign, Box, Entity search for various states, UCC, RealWired, Property Taxes websites, LoanPro, TREX, LexusNexus, Cash SuiteExperience Required:Minimum of 1+ years of progressive banking experience. Preferably in areas where superior service skills were demonstrated.Preferred Experience:2 years of progressive commercial or business lending processing experience. Experience with new accounts and loan applications.Skills/Abilities:Strong word processing skillsProfessional appearance and attitude.Well organized and attentive to detail. Excellent communication, and customer service abilities. Excellent phone skills and professional phone etiquette.Efficient, accurate, and able to deal with people.Strong problem-solving, analysis, and financial skills.
