    Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Propulsion Engineer /Propulsion Engineer. This position will be located in either Promontory, Clearfield, or Magna, Utah . The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Propulsion Systems organization.

    Essential Functions:
    Roles and Responsibilities
    • Perform analysis, design, or test of one or more moderately complex materials (including energetics), structural components, and control systems for propulsion systems.
    • Apply engineering principles, industry standards, company standards and customer requirements to develop propulsion systems (electric, solid/liquid fuel rocket, air-breathing, thrusters) for application in launch vehicles, missile systems, and space mission systems.
    • Coordinate strategy for developing and leveraging multi-disciplinary design, optimization, and analysis processes to support mission requirements.
    • Define and coordinate the conduct of testing required to evaluate design workBasic Qualifications:
      This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Propulsion Engineer level or a Propulsion Engineer level.

      Basic Qualifications for an Associate Propulsion Engineer
      A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
      • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
      • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
      • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
      • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)Basic Qualifications for a Propulsion Engineer
        A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
        • Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of engineering experience
        • Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
        • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
        • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) Preferred Qualifications :
          • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7/4.0 or higher
            • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular) campusjobs

              Salary Range: $58,800 USD - $88,200 USD
              Salary Range 2: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD

              Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
