Staff Air Vehicle Proposal Engineer - Flight Sciences to support
our Vehicle Engineering team in Melbourne, FL. Our ideal candidate
will be a self-starter that flourishes in a fast-paced,
collaborative team environment with minimal direction.Key
Responsibilities:Provides technical guidance and coordinate a small
team of engineers in proposal activities supporting a Corporate
Priority Win EffortLeads a team responsible for producing the
engineering artifacts to support capture effortsThe team will be
engaged in estimating, cost reduction opportunities, hardware trade
studies associated with sourcing, and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)
/ Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) activitiesVerifies the proposal
offering meets requirements and is capable of being executed within
the specified contract limitsEnsures that the proposal is
technically sound and meets all budgetary and schedule
requirementsAttends internal program, customer, and supplier
technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews
to provide and obtain status updatesReports to both the Air Vehicle
IPT Leader and to the Air Vehicle Proposal ManagerBasic
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of relevant
engineering experience; OR Master's degree and 12+ years of
relevant engineering experience; OR Ph.D. and 9+ years of related
engineering experienceAt least one degree must be in an applicable
STEM disciplineMust have some experience in a Flight Sciences
discipline: Aerodynamics, Vehicle Performance, Computational Fluid
Dynamics (CFD), Configuration Design, Propulsion, Mass Properties,
Loads & Dynamics, and/or Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC)Must
have working knowledge of Air Vehicle fields (Airframe, Subsystems,
etc.)Active DoD Secret clearance or higher (background
investigation completed within the last 6 years or is under
continuous evaluation)Must be able to obtain and maintain Special
Access Programs (SAP) prior to the commencement of
employmentPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Mechanical or
Aerospace EngineeringFamiliarity with NX CAD software and
Teamcenter PLMExperience leading a project or teamEarned Value
Management (EVM) experienceExperience with proposals and program
captures within the Aerospace and Defense industryExcellent written
and oral communication and presentation skillsProficient with
Microsoft Word and ExcelSalary Range: $139,000 USD $208,600
USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
