currently seeking a Sr. Principal Quality Engineer to join our team
in Promontory, Utah.Northrop Grumman Space Systems designs, builds
and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to
customers around the world. Our main products include launch
vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products,
subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament
systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components
and services; and advanced aerospace structures.Role description &
Responsibilities:Candidate will be responsible for supporting
manufacturing and test activities for electronic assemblies used in
various space launch vehicles. Specific duties may include:
supporting development of processes and procedures for the assembly
and test of mechanical/electronic assemblies; reviewing and
approving drawings; documenting and dispositioning hardware
discrepancies and pursuing root cause and corrective actions;
supporting required MRB processing; perform inspection of
components and assemblies; supporting manufacturing activities with
supervisors, program engineers and various customer organizations;
reviewing design changes on WIP or completed assemblies; analyzing
data for trends and recommending changes to improve process and
product quality, interfacing with suppliers for auditing and
corrective action/continuous improvement related to component
assemblies and parts.Education9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7
Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.Experience and Required
SkillsIdeal candidate shall possess related work experience working
with mechanical/electrical assemblies, pneumatic systems,
structures, and tooling.Should have a demonstrated ability to work
with minimal oversight and in a multi-discipline team environment,
providing insight and solutions to complicated issues both
technical and procedural.Work related experience should demonstrate
increasing levels of responsibility. Extensive Root Cause and
Problem-Solving experience is highly desirable.Discrepancy
Reporting and MRB is highly desirable. System integration and range
safety experience a plus.Experience working with TipQa, MES, and
CostPoint software is a PlusProficient at planning /organization,
and decision-making skills.Security Clearance*Requires current
