CSEngineering is hiring a Director of Business Development & Capture to join our growing team and support corporate growth and U.S. Space Force business development initiatives to implement CSE's enterprise growth strategy! This position will be working within a matrixed organization to secure existing and new DevSecOps and Blockchain business opportunities with various DoD customers.

The Director of Business Development and Capture is responsible and accountable for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities aligned to CSE's growth strategy, primarily within the U.S. Space Force, and U.S Air Force with a concentration on DevSecOps and Blockchain opportunities. The total compensation package for this member of the corporate team includes a generous salary, an annual bonus, and an outstanding benefits package.

Specific duties include:
Adept at meeting with potential Government customers, robust network within Air Force, Space Force Software, C3 leaders and influences
Responsible for developing and maintaining current and prospective customer relationships, analyzing customer's budgets, challenges, constraints, and issues
Develop capture strategy, call plans, internal and external partnerships with industry, and marketing strategy associated with each identified opportunity
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with customers, industry vendors, clients, and teammates to develop and lead market strategy on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timeline, and contract vehicles
Brief leadership and conduct pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal reviews


Bachelors Degree
Experience in identifying capability gaps, emerging requirements, conducting business intelligence, competitive analysis, and developing solutions per scope requirements
Experience in supporting the full business lifecycle from market segmentation to contract award, including development of capture activities to position the company for the greatest return on investments for corporate investments
Experience in writing proposals, including RFIs and White papers
Demonstrated knowledge of recruiting methodologies, contracts and subcontracts management, proposal management, price-to-win, and all aspects associated with resource management of functional support required to submit compliant proposals
Experience managing various contract structures, including GWACs, IDIQs, BOAs, Task Orders, and various contract types (FFP, T&M, CP, etc.)
Travel up to 50% of the time to customer site, as required
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work in face-paced, complex small business environment
Must have the ability to pass a standard background and reference check
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
This position falls under the President's Executive Order issued on September 9, 2021, and once hired, proof of vaccination will be required to start.
Must be a United States Citizen


An active Secret or Top Secret clearance
Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or Software Engineering related study
Software Engineer background
Retired General Officer, Colonel. SES, GS-15 or equivalent with firm understanding of the C3, software, or DevSecOps requirements and budgeting impact to Air Force and/or Space Force missions
Higher Headquarters, Joint Staff or MAJCOM equivalent experience
Strong federal contracting acquisition experience and knowledge of FAR
Strong interpersonal communication skills with Military leaders
Demonstrated track record of designing and executing successful business development and capture strategies that resulted in achievement of profitable revenue growth
Strong military/DoD experience having previously served as a program manager

Location: Remote (Ogden, UT or Colorado Springs, CO located)
