Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for labor relations with the local UFCW, administration of the collective bargaining agreement and the grievance process Administer unemployment claims and attend unemployment hearings Ensure regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc. Stay current on recent Federal, State and case law changes and monitor labor law updates for changes that affect HR Propose, publish and administer personnel policies Process and implement formal disciplinary action of employees, initiate termination procedures and put into action as needed Prepare and maintain records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data Establish,evaluate and maintain departmental reports and key indicators Supervise staff of five HR employees Manageinternal company communications including bulletin boards, company newsletters, etc. Other Duties, as neededQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s degree in Human Resource Management or related fieldpreferred but not required Experience in Human Resources administration activities 2-3 years of experience in meat processing or other manufacturing setting preferred Strong communication and public speaking skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferredEOE/VET/DISABLED
