This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do:
  • Leads a team of Systems Engineers responsible for supplier oversight of requirements, architecture, design, and verification of components in the Re-Entry System Electronics.
  • Coordinates with the broader Payload Reentry System teams including: PLT SEIT, PRS Test Set, PRS Simulator, Delta Flight Test Vehicle, Beholder, and Countermeasures
  • Supports department initiatives; technology road-map creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadership
  • Supports employee development; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute programs
  • Supports staffing and workload forecast; Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, and performance management
  • Supports requirements analysis, requirements generation and verification, and test plan and procedure development
  • Participates in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for electrical and integrated systems
  • Applies the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications
  • Supports all phases of the systems life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Maintains design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
  • Develops Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. - - Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in STEM related field and 6 years of related experience; Master's -degree in STEM related field and 4 years of related experience
    • At least 1 year of experience leading a large-scale project and driving performance against cost and schedule
    • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as -determined by the company to meet its business need.
    • At least 3-years of electronics design and manufacturing experience
    • At least 3-years of experience supporting a large-scale, complex department of defense contractPreferred Qualifications:
      • Electrical Engineering background and degree
      • ASIC design and manufacturing experience
      • 5 years of ICBM experience
      • Functional and/or Assignment manager experience
      • Program Management Experience
      • Supplier management experience
      • At least 1-year of earned value management experience
      • Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
      • Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple tasks
      • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations#SentinelLeadershipSalary Range: $135,100 - $202,700The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
