Job Description:This New Grad RN position will be full time,
variable shift, working in the Cardio Thoracic Unit at McKay Dee
Hospital in Ogden, Utah.RNs at Intermountain Healthcare are

Grad RN - UnlicensedEntry Pay: $30.27Successful completion of a
recognized and accredited Nursing/RN education program (education
will be verified).Registered Nurse - LicensedEntry Pay:
$33.19Current RN License in state of practice.Licensed and
Unlicensed RNBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare
providers.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in
writing.Unit InformationThe Cardiovascular Thoracic Unit is a 27
bed Intermediate care unit located on the 3rd floor of McKay-Dee
Hospital.We care for a variety of patients including STEMI's, CABG,
TAVR, Heart Failure, Sepsis, Stroke, DKA, Thoracic and Vascular
surgeries.The majority of our patients come from the OR, ICU and
Cath Lab.Our team is highly trained in caring for Cardiovascular
patients with an emphasis on high acuity intermediate care
patients. We cross train all of our RN's to the ICU since we care
for ICU level patients on our unit.Shift times; 5am- 5pm,
5pm-5amPatients Ratios: 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 -RN Ratios (depending on
patient acuity)Hours: Full Time 36 hours per weekThe New Grad RN
position is for those who have graduated nursing school and not yet
taken their NCLEX or RN's with less than one year of RN experience.
Those hired as a New Grad RN are required for have transcripts
showing graduation from nursing school and will work under a
licensed RN until they pass boards and their RN license can be
verified. In conjunction with working on this unit, New Grad RNs
attend Intermountain's one-year nurse residency program. The nurse
residency program supports New Grad RNs in their transition from
classroom to caregiver through 72 paid clinical hours, webinars,
simulations, case studies, and quarterly in person meetings. To

start date.Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see
and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate
monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent
interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors
that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and
understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly
and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and
-Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and
delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes
frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care,
accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and
-Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer
patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and
equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and
including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with
transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing
supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and
portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to
navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on
the floor, etc).- and -May be expected to stand in a stationary
