This position is responsible for utilizing assessment options to
identify and evaluate patient therapeutic, fitness, health
behaviors, and/or sports performance exercise needs. This may
include electrodiagnostic testing. The incumbent works with
patients and clients to develop treatment programs to assist in
rehabilitation, health, fitness, and/or sports performance
This position is based on departmental business need. This person
is responsible for utilizing assessment options to identify and
evaluate patient therapeutic, fitness, health behaviors, and/or
sports performance exercise needs. This may include a broad variety
of advanced tests, such as electrodiagnostic tests, exercises, and
therapies. The incumbent works with patients and clients to develop
treatment programs to assist in rehabilitation, health, fitness,
and/or sports performance goals.
Meets minimum Job essentials of an Exercise Physiologist I
Acts as a lead to all department staff, including problem solving
and assisting with a wide variety of difficult cases.
Responsible to mentor, orients, and assist in the training of
Oversees student internships.
Oversees fitness testing for outside groups (fire dept or police
May perform some supervisory duties when Manager is
Represents facility in providing community fitness health, and/or
athletic performance training.

- Exercise consultation and prescription
- Comfort promoting and performing outreach (available for media
- Manage class schedule, report, interact with clients,
coordination, etc. with clinical supervisors or leadership
- Mentoring exercise team members
- Support and lead projects and initiatives for the Lifestyle
Medicine & Wellness Center service line
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science,
Kinesiology, or a related field at an accredited institution.
(Degree will be verified)
Knowledge of exercise prescription, health behaviors, and safe
cardiovascular training methods as appropriate for the care
2 years of clinical experience in a Hospital setting
Certification as an AACVPR Clinical Cardiac Rehabilitation
Professional, or American College of Sports Medicine Certified
Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or advanced Certification in
Health/ Wellness (Health/ Wellness setting), or NSCA-CSCS
certification depending on work setting.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare
ACLS required prior to being eligible to proctor a stress test.
- The position is 32 hrs/wk- 4, 8-hour shifts.
- The exercise physiologist in the Ogden LMWC provides exercise
prescriptions, and conducts fitness assessments, for a variety of
Carrying, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity,
Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Squatting/Kneeling.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly
rate dependent upon experience.
$25.08 - $38.71
