Job Title: -HR Specialist
Region: Ogden, UT
Reporting To: -CFO and Office Manager
Responsible For: -Create and maintain employee records. Maintain
payroll information and update payroll records.
Job Purpose: - To provide assistance to CFO in assuring payroll is
completed on-time each week.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain employee records
Understand and present benefits packages available to employees
Coordinate interviews with potential new hires, check references,
and organize background checks (where necessary)
Provide policy training through proper on-boarding using the
company's HR software
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and
Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance
coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division
Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes,
deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and
state income and social security taxes and employer's social
security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing
Provides payroll information by answering questions and
Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures,
reporting needed changes.
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by
keeping information confidential.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Must be able to work with government and non-government personnel
in a professional and clear manner. Must be able to work with
different departments to facilitate their needs for HHI's success.
- Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in
writing to upper management, subcontractors, suppliers, clients,
visitors, and co-workers.
3 years' experience in payroll related functions/duties
High school diploma
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word (test will be given to
Well-developed organizational skills
Honest, Dependable, Reliable
Good interpersonal skills
Able to maintain confidentiality
Must pass government security clearance standards
Must pass pre-employment drug screen test if hired
Good driving record, valid license - insurable through the

Experience with payroll processes for construction or manufacturing
