People & Culture Retail Coordinator

Department: People & Culture (P&C)
Reports to: People & Culture Business Partner
Location: US remote or Canada remote

As the People & Culture Retail Coordinator, you coordinate with the P&C team and other cross-functional partners to provide operational support on all people processes impacting our Retail employees. Your passion for data and process improvement will drive the continuous evolution of P&C projects and programs, while contributing to an exceptional candidate and employee experience.

The People & Culture Business Partner team operates in strategic partnership with the business, driving the continuous evolution of people and leadership practices and fostering a culture that generates high performance teams through strengths-based coaching and values-based leadership.

If you were the People & Culture Retail Coordinator now, here are some of the core activities you would be responsible for:
Coordinating with the People & Culture team to support on all people processes, driving an exceptional candidate and employee experience
Supporting the evolution of P&C operations, including decreasing turnaround times, streamlining work processes, and working collaboratively to provide quality support to our People Leaders and employees
Processing new hires, promotions, and other internal changes in Lever and Workday; ensuring all processes are completed accurately and on time
Ensuring relevant stakeholders are informed of all new hires, changes, departures, terminations, leaves, and any other employee movement
Acting as the gatekeeper of all people data in Workday, supporting data entry and ensuring accuracy and integrity across all systems and touchpoints
Identifying and supporting compliance-oriented policy and process changes
Training on onboarding and offboarding processes, and owning data analysis for exit interview metrics
Contributing to onboarding tasks as required, including ensuring our new hires are fully set up on their first day and supporting the execution of our onboarding program as needed
Oversees employee purchase program in partnership with Customer Service and Payroll teams
Providing operational support on P&C projects and programs as required
Digitizing our employee files, ensuring all employee information is accurately stored in Workday
Ongoing tracking and preparing of people related data and reports as required to support effective decision across the P&C team
Maintain P&C SharePoint
Other duties and assignments as needed

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
Collaborating on cross-functional projects and events that span the greater P&C team and organization
Owning data integrity within Lever and Workday, while training key partners on expectations to ensure collaboration and accountability
Process mapping key Retail P&C functions
Partnering with the Employee Experience team to activate Retail service awards
Partnering with L&D to ensure ease of access to BIRDu for Retail teams
Managing the operational side of the Retail yearly performance review while supporting People Leaders
Partnering with Shared Services on best practices

Are you our next People & Culture Retail Coordinator?
You have a degree in in a related field and 1+ year(s) of experience in multifaceted HR role, or equivalent education and experience - experience as a Store Manager an asset
You have experience in a Retail environment an asset
You have demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism in dealing with high volumes of sensitive and confidential information
You are exceptionally organized with an eye for detail and accuracy
You are open and approachable with a customer-service focused mentality
You have the ability to consistently evaluate and evolve existing processes
You have a highly collaborative working style and have demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships
You have strong verbal and written English communication skills
