Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal GN& C Product
Support Equipment Software Engineer. This position will be located
in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.What
You'll Get To Do:Specific duties to include, but are not limited to
the following:Support Equipment engineering utilizes a Systems
Engineering approach to establish Support Equipment functional and
performance requirements. Support Equipment engineering is involved
in all phases of research and product lifecycle development
starting with requirements, initial concepts, trade studies, early
air vehicle design influence, design and development of the Support
Equipment item, hardware-software integration,
fabrication/procurement, engineering evaluation testing,
verification, delivery of hardware, and support of delivered
hardware. The candidate will use technical principles, theories and
concepts and apply them to develop recommended solutions to
technical problems. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the
skill and ability to perform professional tasks in one or more
aspects of a product lifecycle, to include coordination between
other teammates, supervisors, project leaders and other
professionals. Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks in
a dynamic environment, including critical thinking and technical
problem-solving skills.The Support Equipment Software Engineer
designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs software for Support
Equipment containing logical and mathematical solutions. The
engineer conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with
equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design,
development, and utilization of embedded systems for safety and
mission critical software. The engineer ensures program mandated
software standards and compliance criteria are met. Understands and
can develop in a continuous integration tool chain meeting
technical and compliance requirementsThis position's standard work
schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a
nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday
off.Job Qualifications:You'll Bring These Qualifications:9 Years of
related experience with Bachelors in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Engineering, or related discipline; 7 Years with Masters;
4 Years with PhD.Active DoD Secret clearance adjudicated within the
last 5 years, US citizenship and ability to obtain Special Access
clearanceExperience collaborating with multiple engineering
disciplinesUnderstanding of embedded computers and embedded
softwareExperience with C++ and object oriented designExperience
with developing software for hardware devicesThese Qualifications
Would be Nice to Have:Familiarity with nuclear
certificationExperience developing software for a support
equipmentExperience with an assembly language or CExperience
designing software using UML (sequence diagrams, activity diagrams,
