Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking an experienced team leader for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system, known as the Sentinel ICBM Program.The Sentinel Program (formerly known as GBSD) is a significant and complex "Mega-Project" replacing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across five states. It is one of the Department of Defense's (DoD) most important acquisition efforts for the next decade or longer. The program involves refurbishing or replacing over five hundred Minuteman III ICBM facilities, providing a new command & control system, and supporting the weapon system over the next 40-50 years. The deployment is expected to begin in the late 2020s and remain operational until at least 2075.This position supports the Sentinel Program's Software Branch, responsible for acquiring the weapon system software capabilities. Responsibilities include:

• Establishing and executing the Software Lifecycle Management Plan
• Overseeing all software development
• Ensuring traceability of system requirements to software requirements, architecture, and code
• Reviewing all software CDRLs
• Verifying software suitability through design reviews
• Ensuring software safety and nuke surety
• Managing software quality, reliability, and maintainability
• Promoting best practices and DevSecOps in software development
• Establishing software deployment strategiesDuties include managing a team of engineers supporting the Air Force, conducting hiring, providing expert advice, and driving team performance.This position requires US Citizenship and a current Secret security clearance or higher.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 10 years of experience in program/project management (8 years with an MS degree)
  • Current Secret security clearance or higher
  • Ability to obtain a SAP clearance
  • Familiarity with software and systems engineering practicesPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Experience leading teams of direct reports
    • Experience with Minuteman III ICBM system
    • DoD acquisition program experience
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
