Registered Nurse ICU: Full-Time Days  5pm-5am

 

The ICU Nurse is responsible for processing and coordinating the flow of updated patient information and unit activity. This position deals with confidential information of a critical nature on a routine basis.

 

  • Complete nursing assessments on individual patients by observation and interaction with patient/significant others to identify physical and psychosocial.
  • Does a complete and accurate patient admission assessment within the guidelines by the Patient Care Policy on Physical Assessments.
  • Completes prescribed nursing interventions and procedures within state practice guidelines.   
  • Evaluates and documents each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.  Assists in formulation, coordination, and implementation of the patient's Plan of Care based on the assessment of their individual needs.
  • Responds appropriately to all emergencies, and follows standard precautions for all patients.
  • Complies with HCA’s Code of Ethics and attends the annual Code of Ethics update and promotes the Patients’ Bill of Rights.

  • Current Utah RN or RN license in a Compact State.
  • Graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification.
  • NIH Stoke Scale and TNCC certification are encouraged.
  • Current Basic Dysrhythmia ACLS within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 6 months clinical nursing experience or the equivalent required.
