This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.What you'll get to do:
  • Develop models to simulate and evaluate hardware performance
  • Perform model validation through test and analysis
  • Develop, perform and document tests, includes test planning, test conduction, data analysis and documenting test results
  • Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for missile system payloads
  • Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
  • Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
  • Create technical reports and present test and analysis results
  • Interface with AF customer
  • Utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics tools, such as CFD++
  • Utilize Charring and Ablation tools
  • Utilize Electro-Optical and Infrared Signature tools, such as Optical Signatures Code

    • Employee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll bring these qualifications:This position may be filled at a Principal or Sr. Principal Level
      • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics
      • Minimum 5 years of related experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD (Sr Principal requires 9 years a BS degree; 7 years with a Master's; or 4 years with a PhD)
      • Experience with Electro-Optical and Infrared Analysis
      • Active Secret Security Clearance awarded or renewed in the last 6 years and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance, SAP, and SCI accessesThese qualifications would be nice to have:
        • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
        • Experience with Missile Defense Systems
        • Experience with ICBM Weapon Systems
        • Experience with multiple coding languages
        • Experience with Modeling and Simulation
        • Experience with Electro-Optical and Infrared Sensor Modeling
        • Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics, such as CFD++
        • Experience with Optical Signatures Code
        • Experience with Algorithm Development
        • Experience with Charring and Ablation Simulations and/or Analysis
        • Experience with radar systems and radar analysis
        • Experience with RCS codes such as Xpatch and HFSS#GBSDsystems

          Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USDSalary Range 2: $108,600 USD - $163,000 USD

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
