This is a working position, meaning that depending on the level of activity at the warehouse on a given shift, the selected candidate may spend the majority of the shift performing all work themselves, or have a team of up to 5 full-time or part-time forklift operators reporting to them. This person will also have dotted line oversight of the Universal Pallet and Variety Pack operations located in this facility.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include:Safely, efficiently and accurately build manual Variety Pack products and Universal Pallets.Prepare the production line and ensure that all equipment is functioning correctlyVerify code dates on packaging, and in SAPEnsure finished product code dates are correctLead the team to achieve production goalsSeek out and drive opportunities to improve output and or reduce costs and errorsImprove performance against standardsWork with the other working lead in this position as they do the same on their shiftsTrain new team membersDrive 5S efforts on this linePerform basic maintenance and troubleshooting line equipment as neededThe lead will be required to obtain a forklift license within 3 days.
