Job Description:
**Job Description:**This position is responsible for providing
both basic and advanced life support to patients in an efficient,
knowledgeable and cost effective manner, which is accurately
documented and properly coordinated with other health care
personnel.**Job Description**Performs primary assessment on each
patient attended in the field, demonstrates the ability to
recognize impaired airway, breathing,circulation, and takes
appropriate action to resolve problems Performs secondary
assessment head to toe and is able to accurately evaluateinjuries
in a timely manner and responds appropriately. Understands the
principles of immobilization and uses equipment properly.
Operatesthe heart monitor and the defibrillator
appropriately.Replaces supplies when needed, after each call or
during shift. Checks functioning and safety of all equipment. Uses
supplies efficiently. Inaddition, makes appropriate charges to
patients for supplies and equipment when used. Cleans front and
back of ambulance after each calland before ending shift.Completes
computer E.M.S. reports correctly and in a timely manner.
Responsible to log all ambulance calls in logbook and file
appropriately.PerDiem positions available.**Minimum
Qualifications**+ Currently certified to practice as **an EMT in
the State of Idaho.**+ Current BLS Certification - Health Care
Provider.+ Current valid Idaho drivers license in good standing.+
Must be able to communicate effectively including: Read color coded
labels and chemicals and ability to follow written and verbal
directions.+ Able to transfer and position patients independently
and safely.+ May require exposure to communicable diseases, bodily
fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, radiation, and
other conditions+ Able to work irregular hours under high stress

Requirements:**Cassia only+ Ongoing need for employee to see and
read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors,
identify equipment and supplies.+ Frequent interactions with
patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require
employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand
spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and
accurately, particularly during emergency situations.+ Manual
dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate
equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent
computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing
needed information, medication preparation, etc.+ Expected to lift
and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also
bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically
includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy
items.+ Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating
patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment,
including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy
rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).+ May be
expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period
of time.+ Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor
