Summary/Basic FunctionMentors work with individually assigned
persons who are deemed "at risk" in some academic areas. May need
to instruct on test taking tips, note taking skills, calendaring
and time management, and other academically-related skills
necessary for student success. Able to work one-on-one, instruct,
act professionally, and feel confident in the skills they are
teaching. Able to work well with individuals from all walks of
life, varying life skills and abilities, differing languages, and
backgrounds.**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected
from the pool as positions become available. After a period of
time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.Required
QualificationsH.S. diploma or GED.Word processing, basic computer
and typing skills. Email.Preferred QualificationsIntermediate to
high levels of computer skills: spreadsheets, databases, internet.
Personable. Flexible.Mentors should be available mid-day and/or
