HR Administrative Assistant - OTC - REQ 85707
Autoliv is dedicated to saving lives worldwide with our innovative
automotive safety technologies used by all major automobile
manufacturers. Autoliv manufactures injury preventing and
life-saving automotive safety equipment.
Job Summary:
This position provides support to the Human Resources Department
performing activities associated with extensive data management,
recruiting support, HR administration, training administration. LOA
administration and general administrative duties.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintains multiple human resource information systems databases and
keeps employee files up to date and accurate through the proper
processing of new hires, personnel action forms and
terminations.
Supports internal and external recruitment initiatives including
but not limited to distributing facility job postings, scheduling
interviews, auditing and completing requisition folders, applicant
correspondence, arranges physical exams and drug screens and other
duties in the full-cycle recruiting process.
Supports on-boarding and new hire orientation for new or
transferring employees including the creation of new hire packets,
scheduling training rooms, and coordinating new hire set-up
activities.
Provides plant training and development support by registering
attendees, communicating reminders, scheduling conference rooms and
ordering food.
Supports the Autoliv Learning System by monitoring and tracking
employee progress in the completion of compliance related training.
Sends regular reminders and escalates past due training as
needed.
Maintains the OTC employee newsletter creating content and ensuring
detail, timeliness and accuracy of the communication.
Supports the employee reward & recognition program including
managing nomination database, scheduling meetings, submitting
payments and general communication; activities include the monthly
Jidoka.
Provides employee support by answering general HR related questions
and routing inquiries as needed.
Manages administrative task of leaves of absence.
Orders supplies as needed. Performs other administrative duties as
needed.
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
Flexible, team player with strong interpersonal skills anda focus
on providing exceptional customer service.
Demonstrates the ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and
act with a sense of urgency.
Aptitude for detail and commitment to accuracy and follow through.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management
skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and respond quickly in a
fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of
integrity and confidentiality.
Demonstrates a commitment to learning.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Must have excellent PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft
Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
High school diploma or equivalent:
3 years minimum of strong administrative work experience in a
fast-paced environment, preferably in Human Resources.
Completed Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or closely related
field such as Organizational Development strongly preferred.
Prior experience supporting recruitment function strongly
desired.
Conceptual understanding or employment laws and standard Human
Resources policies and procedures.
