Job Description:
OverviewSystems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) delivers
high-impact, technical solutions to complex national security
issues. As we enter our 50th year in business, we are known for
continuous innovation for government customers, both
long-established and newly acquired, as our capabilities expand
around the globe. Our work is state-of-the-art and made possible
only through the best personnel, tools, and jobs in the national
security business. We are highly collaborative in spirit and
practice, and we freely share expertise across SPA in our quest for
enduring solutions to critical concerns. Come work with the
best! This position is within the Air Force Division of SPA, and
will fall under the Air Force Engineering and Analysis Group (AFEA)
which provides analytic support to various programs across a
diverse clientele that extends across the Joint Staff, HQ USAF, Air
Combat Command, Air Force Material Command, and the Air Force
Nuclear Weapons Center. AFEAprovides a wide range of analysis to
include supporting resource allocation decisions, wargaming,
targeting, courseware management, Integrated and Air Missile
Defense, Program Office Support, and analysis of military
operations and joint training assessments.SPA has an immediate need
for a Systems Engineer to support the on-site SPA Sentinel team at
Hill AFB, UT.ResponsibilitiesThe primary focus of this position is
to build and maintain a data warehouse. The current data warehouse
is a SQL Server database housed in an on-premises, air-gapped
network, so experience with T-SQL, C# or Powershell is a plus. Our
data warehouse is a bit different than most found in corporate
America. Most data warehouses and business intelligence outfits
collect sales data to provide feedback to marketing. Their metrics
are all based around revenue and income. We are a military
acquisition, so all of our success metrics are based around
expenditure and schedule. The data warehouse we are building
collects all of the data about the acquisition: how much have we
spent on what parts of Sentinel. Eventually we would like to
collect metadata about actual engineering products to compare
against our financial data, to actually gauge whether money spent
equals progress made. This is something no other DoD program has
ever attempted, and involves creating new and interesting data
structures to collect and process the
information.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
