career today. Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems sector is looking
for a Deputy Chief Engineer - SLP-A in our SDS Division. This
leadership role is located in Roy, Utah, and supports the Sentinel
program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance
package. What you'll get to do: The selected candidate will fill
role of the Deputy Chief Engineer supporting the Secondary Launch
Platform for the Office of the Chief Engineer in our SDS Division.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide technical leadership in Design and Development of the
Secondary Launch Platform (SLP-A)
- Drive technical execution in support of major program
events
- Collaboration within the Office of the Chief Engineer to
deliver exceptional customer value
- Focusing horizontally on resolving high-level Systems
challenges
- Driving technical execution with an emphasis on SLP-A
- Ensuring execution of overall technical plan within the
Integrated Master Schedule
- Supporting strategic SDS Division initiatives on tools,
processes, and cross-segment technical reviews
- Driving technical rigor into technical interchange meetings
with Sentinel partners
- Utilizing Model-Based Engineering to deliver a highly
sustainable Weapon System
- Advising program technical leadership on program, schedule, and
technical mattersBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Math) discipline and 8 years of experience; 6 years
with master's degree; 4 years with PhD
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD
Secret security clearance at time of application with an
investigation completed within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access
Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as
determined by the company to meet its business needs
- Minimum of 3 years of experience formally leading engineering
teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including
demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations,
with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing
priorities
- Ability to collaborate and achieve consensus when dealing with
groups from diverse organizations and backgrounds
- Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and
stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and
Suppliers
- Experience leading design, production, and integration of
complex systems
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
- Strong understanding and broad application of complex
engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration
management, material review board, process control, tooling,
facilities, software, etc.)
- Design Engineering/Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience and
engineering releases utilizing Product Lifecycle Management
tools
- Prior experience interfacing with prime contractor site leads
and USAF leadership personnel
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 25% as a part of the
roleThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- ICBM ground system, command and control, communication, or
complex aerospace systems experience
- Experience with USAF/USN aircraft certification, integration,
and testing
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Experience leading the performance of technical tasks on
schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either a chief

9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.------ -This

#SentinelsystemsSalary Range: $118,600 - $178,000The above salary
range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman
considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers
such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the
candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for
overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays
