Staff Engineer Electronics. - This position will be located in Roy,
Utah and will support the GSSC program. - This role may offer a
competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get to Do: -
The Northrop Grumman Ground Subsystem Support Contract (GSSC) has
an exciting opportunity in Northrop Grumman's EMI chamber. The
selected candidate will perform the following key duties and
responsibilities: This position is for an experienced EMI/EMC test
Engineer. The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to
the MMIII (GSSC) Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility
(EMI/EMC) Test Lab team supporting EMI/EMC testing and design
mitigation The selected candidate will also support the Codes-IPT
travel team performing shielding effectiveness verification testing
of NSA certified TEMPEST enclosures at various USAF wing locations.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Development of Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility
(EMI/EMC) test plans and test procedures (EMITP) to meet Data Item
Descriptions (DID) requirements
- Generate R&D, Qualification & Pre-Qualification EMI Test
plans/procedures (EMITP)
- Support EMI/EMC test planning, Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and
test integration support.
- Perform &/or witness EMI/EMC test execution per
MIL-STD-461F/G, and support design mitigation for EUT
compliance.
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of EMI
testing methods and equipment.
- Support hardware design engineering to ensure compliance with
MIL-STD-461 and 464 EMI/EMC requirements.
- Prepare detailed EMI Test Reports (EMITR) and support formal
verification of EUT (Equipment Under Test).
- Contribute to the development of CDRL documents per DID
requirements.
- Support development of EMI Control Plans (EMICP) for system and
subsystem compliance
- Compile data and define changes required in test equipment,
test procedures, or new test requirements.
- Perform data analysis against requirements and interfaces for
each Hardware (HW) build and component.
- Interface with software developers and systems engineers in
support of verification.
- Support EUT integration, regression, and verification testing
including checkout in system test labs.
- Support Shielding Effectiveness testing at remote site
locations per IEEE-STD-299 & TEMPEST/1-95As a full-time employee of

9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. - - You'll
Bring These Qualifications:
- 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors Degree in a
STEM related field of study; 10 years with a Masters; 8 years with
a PhD;
- US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher
(awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to obtain a DoD
Top-Secret Clearance
- Advanced understanding of E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental
Effects) and EMI principles and techniques
- Minimum of 5 years practical hands-on EMI/EMC lab testing
experience.
- An understanding of mechanical and electrical designs,
functions, integration, and interfaces.
- Proficient with MIL-STD-461F/G; MIL-STD-464 testing and
automation
- Ability to solve complex EMI/EMC problems and drive tasks to
completion.
- Ability to present engineering findings orally and in written
technical reports and presentations.
- Working knowledge of MS-Office products (MS-Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience generating EMI/EMC test plans, procedures, and test
reports per DID and CDRL requirements
- Experience in fast-paced work environment and ability to work
as lead in a team environment.These Qualifications Would be Nice to
Have:
- US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher
(awarded within the past 6 years).
- Practical hands-on EMI/EMC lab testing experience performing
MIL-STD-461F/G test setup and execution of system & sub-system
level EUT's.
- Thorough working knowledge of MIL-STD's 461/462/464/704
- Familiar with Automated EMI test software and data collection -
TILE! software.
- Experience with EMI/EMC Lab and RF test equipment including,
but not limited to: Spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, data
acquisition systems (TILE!), signal/pulse generators, Network
analyzers, RF generators, RF monitors, RF antennas, high power RF
amplifiers.
- Prior weapon system experience, GBSD/Sentinel, Minuteman III
(GSSC) or similar military or industry experience.
- Ideal candidates can show design experience with EMI filters,
circuit layout and analysis, shielding, lightning protection, cable
& harness design.
- Experience in electromechanical design and fabrication of
EMI/EMC test aids and other RF electrical tests.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Facilitator.#SentinelintandtestSalary
Range: $147,700 - $221,500The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
