history.Propulsion Systems is currently seeking Manufacturing
Technicians level 3 to assist our Nozzle Value Stream organization
in the Machining and Fabrication group, in the Anodize, Alodine and
Debur Area at our Promontory facilities.Role description &
Responsibilities:The Manufacturing Technician performs hands on
activities/tasks associated with manufacturing rocket motor
components. Tasks may include but are not limited to tooling
assembly/disassembly, operating equipment, component surface
preparation including anodizing, contamination removal and
deburring, drilling, assembly, maintaining cleanliness of work area
and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance
the safety, quality, and cost and schedule performance of their
team.Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experienceExperience
Preferred:
- Metal surface finishing hands on experience
- Knowledge in Anodize/Alodine Processing
- Safe handling of hazardous materials
- Operation of industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts,
precision measuring instruments and hand toolsSkills &
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to perform shift work, weekends, holidays and
overtime as required
- Must possess a valid state driver's license
- Detail oriented and meticulous.
- Able to pass a respirator FIT test
- Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long
periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift,
bend, twist push and pull up to 50 lbs.) while wearing protective
equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection,
etc.)
- Able to read, comprehend and follow established written
instructions without deviation
- Perform basic math and measurement functions
- Read and interpret blueprintsEducation/Certifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required Salary Range:
$47,100 USD - $78,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
