Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Millwright to provide technical support to our Promontory Maintenance team at our Promontory Facility.Role description & Responsibilities:This Maintenance Crafts position will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of many different types of mechanical equipment at the Promontory, UT Propulsion Systems location.Equipment in this plant includes but is not limited to: cranes, hoists, autoclaves, induction furnaces, cooling towers, generators, vacuum pumps, various fluid pumps, valves, piping systems, high pressure compressor(s), plant air systems, machining centers, winders, internal tooling, etc. Candidates with experience in other mechanical disciplines such as metal fabrication, welding, plumbing and pipefitting are preferred. The schedule for this position will be for 10 hour days 4 days a week initially with the potential to need to adjust these hours. Overtime may be required during certain process runs.The successful candidate must pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA). Minimum Requirements:

  • 6 plus years, recent, work experience in the millwright field.
  • Knowledge and experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
  • Knowledge and experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing precision tooling and processing equipment.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend 20+ foot ladders into pits where equipment is located.Preferred:
    • Experience with mechanical processes.
    • Experience with pressure vessels and vacuum furnaces.
    • Experience with plumbing and pipefittingSkills & Qualifications:
      • Safety First attitude and personal work behavior
      • Actively engage in maintenance continuous improvement efforts.
      • Demonstrates initiative and ambition to become proficient in all job duties
      • Able to work to performance standards with little or no supervision
      • Ability to work in a team environmentEducation/Certifications:
        • High School Diploma or GED. Salary Range: $61,000 USD - $101,600 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
