Job Responsibilities - Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives. - Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous deals. - Oversee the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. - Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to maintain quality and reliability. - Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability criteria. - Monitor inventory levels and forecast procurement needs to minimize stockouts or excess inventory. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on purchasing needs and budget considerations. - Analyze market trends to anticipate shifts in pricing or availability of materials. - Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance. - Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities. - Implement and maintain a purchasing database or system for tracking orders and supplier performance. - Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the purchasing function. - Understand specifications, bid processes, analyzing quotations, payment terms, and contracts Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field - Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement management - Strong negotiation and communication skills - Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite - Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships effectively - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Experience with contract management and strategic sourcing - Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities - Familiarity with applicable laws and regulations related to procurement - Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred PId6efe1ecdd4d-37456-39153305
