The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll Bring These Qualifications:Engineer Structural: Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field and 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with MastersPrincipal Engineer Structural: Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field and 5 years of relevant experience; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhDRequired for both levels:
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance
    • Knowledge and/or experience with static and structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles
    • Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation
    • Proficient in Nastran (or equivalent)
    • Professional knowledge of missile and/or spacecraft structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods
    • Experience evaluating designs using rigid body or flexible body analysis methods and tools
    • Proficiency with modern substructure modeling and assembly technology and component mode synthesis methods such as Craig-Bampton sub structuring
    • Experience in the planning and execution of static, vibration, acoustic, modal, and shock tests for aerospace flight hardware
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment
    • Ability and experience owning tasks, and driving the team to closure quickly, and efficiently.These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:--- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Structural Mechanics program or equivalent from an accredited college/university--- Experience working strategic or tactical missile programs--- Experience with SEA and SEA tools such was wave6Salary Range: $77,200 - $115,800Salary Range 2: $95,300 - $142,900The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
